Pic Of The Week: Pelagic Cormorant


Pelagic Cormorants shine blue, purple and green, generally much more colorful (yes, colourful too) than the similar Brandt's Cormorant. Obscure fact of the day: the poorly-known (and certainly extinct) Kenyon Shag, whose remains have only been collected in Alaska's Aleutian Islands, may actually be the one and only Pelagic Cormorant.
